Graduate Endorsements

Educators who are looking to complete endorsement requirements can do so through one of the programs below. 


ESOL Endorsement graduate certificate (Online)

This professional certificate in ESOL is designed specifically for those who already hold a bachelor’s degree and teaching certification. The certificate provides the curriculum needed for those who wish to specialize in teaching English language learners in the K-12 setting and also fulfills the education requirements for the ESOL endorsement.

Reading Endorsement graduate certificate (Online) 

The Reading Endorsement is a series of five online courses that provide an in-depth view of reading research, theory, and the application of sound and current scientific research. The Reading Endorsement courses meet the needs of certified K-12 teachers who want to expand upon their certification with expertise in reading instruction.

In order to earn the Florida Reading Endorsement, students must have a valid teaching certificate and successfully complete 15 credit hours of study. Each of the courses in the endorsement can be applied toward USF's Master of Arts in Reading degree.

Master of Arts in Special Education, Gifted

The Master of Arts in Special Education, Gifted includes coursework required for the Florida Endorsement in Gifted Education. In addition, courses in this program include topic areas in foundations of research, teacher leadership, instructional technology, electives, and a supervised practicum.
