Strengthening the quality of education is one of the most pressing challenges the country faces today. The David C. Anchin Center serves the state and the nation by providing research findings on key education policy issues and expertise that can inform decision-making at local, state and national levels. By supporting a topical policy group, the center brings faculty together to examine issues that emerge and processes that occur at many levels of the education system—from the statehouse to the schoolhouse, and from Congress to the classroom. As a result, the center shares best practices in education reform with local, state, and national policymakers, other educational practitioners, parents, and communities. These policy conversations between various stakeholders facilitate interactions that lead to education reform. Our work primarily raises and responds to urban education policy questions from around the world. Our policy efforts are facilitated by the Education Policy Information Center (EPIC).
