Sriram Chellappan’s paper receives ACM CSCW Honorable Mention Award

CSE Professor Sriram Chellappan co-authored a paper with Farhana Shahid, Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology; Shahinul Hoque Ony, BRAC University; Takrim Rahman Albi, BRAC University; Alabi Mehzabin Anisha, Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology titled “Learning from Tweets: Opportunities and Challenges to Inform Policy Making During Dengue Epidemic” which received an Honorable Mention Award at the 2020 ACM Conference on Computer-Supported Cooperative Work and Social Computing (ACM CSCW). “Bringing together top researchers and practitioners, CSCW explores the technical, social, material, and theoretical challenges of designing technology to support collaborative work and life activities.” The paper was one among 22 out of more than 1000 submissions to receive an award.
