BIOGRAPHY:
Dr. Egemen Bezci is a Principal Data Scientist and Intelligence Scholar specializing in the design of AI systems for fraud prevention, risk management, and high-stakes decision-making. He currently serves as a Principal Data Scientist at a European Fintech company in Germany, where he leads the strategic development of advanced machine learning architectures. Parallel to his industry leadership, he is a faculty member at Die Universität für Weiterbildung Krems, teaching in the D-A-CH region’s inaugural Master’s program dedicated to Counter-Terrorism, Countering Violent Extremism (CVE), and Intelligence. A Fellow of the Royal Historical Society (FRHistS), Dr. Bezci’s career spans academia and industry across Europe, Asia and North America. He was notably recognized as a finalist in NATO’s 2021 Innovation Challenge on Cognitive Warfare for his work on AI-driven analytic solutions. He holds a PhD from the University of Nottingham and has a proven track record of bridging the gap between complex data science and national security strategy.

Turkish Intelligence and the Cold War: The Turkish Secret Service, the US and the UK (2019) (By analyzing the asymmetric secret intelligence cooperation between Turkey, the UK, and the US from 1945 to 1960, this monograph challenges binary Cold War narratives to reveal how "intelligence diplomacy" enables weaker states to exercise strategic agency and protect national interests within a major poweralliance.).
