BIOGRAPHY:
Michael Steere is recently retired from the Directorate of Operations after 40 years in the Central Intelligence Agency, including 18 years as a member of the Senior Intelligence Service. He spent more than 25 years overseas in 11 assignments, directing global clandestine operations across Latin America and Asia against first-tier, regional, and transnational targets.

Steere held senior roles interfacing with the National Security Council, Department of Defense, Intelligence Community partners, and other U.S. security agencies. He has extensive experience briefing senior U.S. and foreign leaders, and previously served as a Presidential Daily Brief (PDB) briefer. He is also a certified intelligence instructor and holds both a B.A. and M.A. in International Relations from the University of Virginia.
