Non-Credit Programs

Biomedical Engineering

This five-day program for high school students provides a hands-on opportunity to work with USF's biomedical engineering faculty, explore careers in the dynamic world of biomedical engineering, and learn how biomedical engineers contribute to human health and well-being.

College and SAT Prep Institute

This five-day program is designed to provide students with the tools they need to prepare for and succeed on the SAT exam and successfully transition into college. Students will learn beneficial skills in test taking and concept mastery as they learn the ins and outs of the college application process and important aspects of college life.

Future Physicians, Scientists and Engineers

This academically intensive, seven- to eight-day program provides hands-on inquiry, discovery, creativity and research across a broad array of disciplines. You will be exposed to basic, clinical, and translational research in a variety of world-class facilities housed in USF's College of Medicine, College of Arts & Sciences, College of Public Health, College of Engineering, College of Pharmacy and Moffitt Cancer Center.

Medical, Engineering and Scientist Research

This research-intensive, eight-week program takes place in research laboratories headed by internationally recognized and distinguished faculty. You will be directly involved in independent hands-on inquiry, discovery, creativity and research and have opportunities to present your work in a professional setting.

STEM for Scholars (Level 1)

This four-week summer program prepares students entering 9th and 10th grade for academic and college life, with the goal of expanding students’ horizons in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields. Students will have the opportunity to develop critical thinking and conceptual creativity. They will be engaged and challenged, through active, hands-on participation in all aspects of the program.

University Summer Experience

Summer Experience offers international participants ages 14–18 the opportunity to come tour the University of South Florida, INTO USF and the Tampa Bay area. You will practice your English language skills while attending language workshops, USF department visits, educational field trips and recreational events. You will become familiar with university life as you will live and interact with students and faculty at USF’s Tampa campus.
