What is the USF SAT/ACT Test Prep?
The USF SAT/ACT Test Prep Program, offered in partnership with Educational Testing Consultants, includes both the USF SAT/ACT Blitz (fall and spring) and the USF SAT/ACT Summer Institute. The program provides expert-led instruction, proven test-taking strategies, and online support to help students succeed. USF offers SAT Test Prep both in-person on campus and live online, while ACT Test Prep is offered virtually only.

Our SAT prep course offers 16 hours of instruction and is available in both live-online and face-to-face formats to fit different learning preferences.
What is the ACT?
The ACT is a standardized test used by colleges to evaluate students’ readiness for advanced study. It measures reasoning and problem-solving skills rather than specific high school content.
What does the ACT cover?
The ACT includes three main sections: English, Reading, and Mathematics, plus two optional sections: Science and Writing.
How does USF’s ACT prep course work?
Our ACT prep course offers 16 hours of instruction and is available in both live-online and face-to-face formats, allowing students to choose what works best.
What do students need to bring to their in-person class sessions?
Students should have their ETC Course Workbook, which will be provided to in-person students at the start of the first session, along with something to write with. Depending on the course, scratch paper and a calculator may also be helpful. Some students may receive supplementary textbooks in addition to their ETC Course Workbook; these are intended for independent study outside of class.
How do in-person students receive their course materials?
Students registered for a class on campus will receive materials at the start of their first class session. Course materials will be shipped to the campus in advance of the class start if inventory needs to be replenished. Someone from ETC will confirm with you that you have sufficient inventory for the class. In-person test prep students will receive login instructions for their online resources as soon as they are registered in our system.

Virtual test prep courses are held on the Adobe Connect platform.
