Celebrating USF’s highest ranking ever by U.S. News & World Report

Dear USF Community,

In new rankings released this morning by U.S. News & World Report, I’m delighted to share that the University of South Florida has reached its highest position in our institution’s history!

USF now ranks No. 42 among all public universities and No. 97 among all public and private universities, which is the first time we’ve made the top 100. We continue to hold the distinction of America's fastest-rising university, as no other university in the country has risen more in the rankings than USF over the past 10 years.

These achievements would not be possible without the hard work and dedication of our talented faculty, staff, and students. It is because of you that we have lots to be proud of at USF.

While we should take a moment to celebrate our place in the rankings, I’m reminded that it’s many of the steps we’re taking on our path to becoming a top-25 public university that are most important. Among the factors U.S. News considers are measurements of student success and faculty excellence, which directly align with key goals in USF’s strategic plan.

Thank you for your commitment to our university’s success and pushing our community forward.

In Bull Pride,

Rhea F. Law
President
