Starting in Summer/Fall

Welcome and congratulations on choosing the University of South Florida!

As you begin the pursuit of your degree at the University of South Florida (USF), we look forward to making your transition as smooth as possible! USF offers a dynamic learning environment that inspires innovation and creativity and is focused on student success. We have developed a unique Orientation experience called, Glo-Bull Beginnings Week, which is your opportunity to experience what it's like to be a USF student, both in and out of the classroom. We have worked closely with current USF international students to design this Orientation program specifically to meet the needs of international students like yourself. We are excited to host you for your week-long program that will prepare you for being a student at USF and living in the US.

We encourage you to check our website and your email frequently, as we continue to update you with new information as it becomes available. This information will prove useful as you plan your arrival for Glo-Bull Beginnings Week.

The registration deadline for Glo-Bull Beginnings Week is July 11, 2018. Reservations for summer/fall sessions will be available on Monday, March 12, 2018 at 9:00am EST.

Please know that we understand that the process of going to college and moving to another country can be overwhelming for both students and family members. We are here to help! At any time in this process, if you have any questions or concerns, we have several ways that you can contact us for additional information or assistance.

What Should You Expect to do at Glo-Bull Beginnings Week 2018?
You will experience Glo-Bull Beginnings Week on a team of 10-12 fellow international students led by two Orientation Leaders (OLs). The OLs are upper class USF students who will serve as your guide throughout the week and become an excellent resource as you begin classes. Your OLs will be with you every step of the way - whether over shared meals, during sessions, or on the walk from one event to the next. Your OLs will guide you throughout the week and help you to complete all the essential tasks to smooth your transition into USF.

You can expect the following at Glo-Bull Beginnings Week:

  • Introduction to USF resources and services to help you succeed
  • Information on how to get involved on campus
  • Meeting with your academic advisor and registering for classes
