USF Ventures Launch Program

The USF Ventures Launch Program is a pilot initiative operating mainly with USF Technology Transfer designed to move University of South Florida’s most promising inventions beyond the lab and into market-ready companies positioned for real-world impact.

Built within the USF Research Innovation and Commercialization ecosystem, the program identifies high-potential university-borne technologies and provides a structured, repeatable pathway for evaluating, shaping, and launching new ventures around the technologies. Through a selective, evidence-based assessment process, each technology is reviewed for scientific strength, intellectual property strength, market opportunity, regulatory considerations, development risk, and commercial viability before advancing toward company formation.

The USF Ventures Launch Program pairs each advancing technology with hands-on venture development support, including operational support through acting executive and executive-in-residence coverage, curated corporate, FDA reimbursement and IP counsel specialists to help bridge the gap between early-stage research and investable startup companies. By pairing promising USF inventions with experienced executives and operators, the program helps transform validated technologies into companies with a clearer path to market.
