The African Students Association was founded in 1997 to promote cultural awareness of Africa and its diapora to USF and the Tampa Bay Community.

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. (Click here to chat with a rep!)

Alpha Kappa Alpha was founded on January 15th, 1908 in Miner Hall on the campus of Howard University by 20 illustrious women. The Quality Zeta Upsilon Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated was charted on December 10th, 1971 by 12 women who sought to continue the legacy that was envisioned by our Founders at USF. Our organization was the first sorority for Black women who value sisterhood, scholarship, and service to all mankind.

 alpha Kappa Delta Phi is an international Asian-interest sorority with 55 chapters and over 6,000 sisters located at numerous universities across the United States and in Canada. Thousands of undergraduate and alumnae sisters support the rapidly growing network of strong and successful women in the organization. alpha Kappa Delta Phi is part of the National APIA Panhellenic Association (NAPA), which it helped charter in 2006.

The Black Female Development Circle is a social organization whose mission is to educate, explore, enhance, and celebrate womanhood. Our purpose is to provide Black women with a stable environment to discuss practical and specialized life skills, and to offer vital knowledge to empower women.

The Black Student Union's mission is "promoting racial and ethnic interaction between and among the different ethnic groups at the University of South Florida since 1972.

The Boricua Student Association strives to help students of different cultural and ethnic backgrounds succeed at USF through academic, social, and community service events while promoting diversity. Along with other Latinx organizations at USF, it is our goal to share our culture with other students. BSA aims to increase the enrollment of Puerto Rican and other minority students at USF and collaborate with Tampa's Puerto Rican community.

The Botany Club is a club dedicated to the study and celebration of plants. We aim to educate others on what botany is and bring the joy of the subject to everyone.

Bulls Nakhra is a Bollywood fusion dance team that performs across campus, around Tampa, and competitions nationwide. We incorporate various traditional Indian dance styles alongside hiphop, contemporary, and other assorted styles. Any student is welcome to join–absolutely no dance experience is necessary!

The Caribbean Cultural Exchange, also known as CCE, was established in 1982 and was the first Caribbean organization at the University of South Florida. It is one of the largest and most diverse student organizations on campus. Our goal is to promote cultural awareness and recognition of people of the Caribbean within the university and the local community. We are a home away from home for Caribbean students and those of Caribbean descent. However, CCE is open to everyone, especially those interested in learning all things Caribbean.

Established Fall of 2009, the purpose of the Chinese Culture and Language Club (CCLC) at the University of South Florida is to promote awareness of the culture and language of China as well as create a family for our community. We organize cultural-based events every month, such as language learning lessons, fundraisers, socials, & large events such as Chinese New Year and the Mid Autumn Festival!

USF Club Creole was born on Feb 7, 1991, with a purpose to dispel the negative stereotypes and myths about Haiti and its people. We strive to promote our culture at USF and the Tampa Bay community.

Delta Sigma Pi is a Professional Co-Ed Business Fraternity that aims to provide its members with a unique experience to help promote networking, professional growth, and friendships. While incorporating community service, fundraising, social, and professional events, the fraternity is able to offer a wide range of activities online and in-person when deemed appropriate in the future, providing members the opportunity to be actively involved. Delta Sigma Pi is one of the largest co-ed business fraternities in the US. Founded in 1907, the fraternity has 113 years of history, creating various networking opportunities while developing young professionals for the real world.

The mission of Delta Tau Lambda Sorority, Incorporated is to build and strengthen Latinas’ position in society through community service, commitment, and professionalism. Together we will unite to develop and empower Latinas, women of color, and women in general through personal evolution and teamwork. We will work in collaboration with diverse women to create opportunities for growth and change.

Faces Modeling Troupe, Inc. was established on January 20, 1997 with a vision to take modeling to a higher level and enhance each members knowledge of a professional modeling experience. The purpose of FACES modeling organization is to introduce the many aspects of the modeling industry using specialized photography, innovative fashion, unique runway modeling techniques and mechanics, community service, and health awareness for its members and the surrounding community.

First Generation Latinx is by first generation latinos and Latinas for first generation latino and Latina students at the USF Tampa campus. The First Generation Latinx has four core values to build a community between first-generation Latina and latino college students at the University of South Florida. To connect students with mentor opportunities and resources that are usually not easily accesible to many first generations. Last, but not least to give back to the Tampa First Latino generation community.

The Latin American Student Association has been bridging cultures since its foundation in 1986. We serve as an "umbrella" organization for other Hispanic/Latinx organizations on campus. Our purpose is to provide a socially interactive and inclusive atmosphere for L.A.S.A. members and the broader Tampa Bay community. This environment enhances education, while also promoting awareness of the Latin American culture. We also educate and encourage our members to be culturally aware and knowledgeable about the diversity that exists within the Hispanic/Latinx community. Our vision includes having a diverse body of members from all cultural backgrounds working together to close the cultural gaps that exist in society. Through this association, L.A.S.A. will offer support and motivation to every one of our members, providing a home away from home!

The purpose of the LGBTQ+ Health Alliance is to provide a safe, educational environment for LGBTQ+ and Allied pre-health students as well as any students interested in learning about LGBTQ+ issues in healthcare. Our primary aim is to foster cultural competency among the next generation of medical practitioners with reference to the health issues faced by the LGBTQ+ population. Students of all identities and majors are invited to join.

Mu Sigma Upsilon Sorority Inc. is the FIRST multicultural organization in the nation. We were founded on November 21, 1981, at Rutgers University, New Brunswick by five Latina women determined to establish an organization to unite all women regardless of race, religion, or creed. Our three goals are: Academic Excellence, Unity Amongst All Women, & To be Active in the University & Community. MSU has grown to a membership of thousands of women with recognized chapters in 14 states across the country.

NSBE’s mission is to increase the number of culturally responsible Black Engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact the community. NSBE is led by a group of Black Engineers focused and working towards fulfilling NSBEs goal. Alongside our mission statement, NSBE also has a goal of having 10,000 Black Engineers graduating annually before 2025. As a professional organization, NSBE utilizes a blend of professional and social events to engage our members whilst heightening their professionalism. Whether it is Speed Networking or a Game Night Social, USF NSBE wants to place our members in the best position professionally as well as a place to enjoy themselves socially.

Our organization was founded on March 15th, 1989. We were chartered on the USF campus on April 10th, 2010. Our sorority colors are Black, Forest Green, and Radiant Gold. The sorority's mascot is the Hummingbird and the national flower is the Sunflower. OPBSI's National Philanthropy is Raising Awareness of Violence against Women.

The Russian Langauge and Culture Association is an organization with the purpose of promoting interest in the Russian language and Slavic culture to the USF students. We host multiple cultural and educational events throughout the year dedicated to this purpose including the Russian Poetry Festival, Maslenitsa, Conversation Days, Game Nights, etc.

SISTUHS, Inc. has a mission statement to improve the social disposition of underrepresented populations thru community service, education, and other social services in our respective communities. SISTUHS, Inc. was founded on December 3, 1992 in the campus of Florida State University by two tenacious women, Akiba Jackson and Germain Smith-Baugh. Our primary colors are black and gold. The USF Chapter of SISTUHS, Inc. was chartered on October 31, 1999.

Our mission is to create an inclusive and supportive community for the undocumented population at USF through awareness, activism, and solidarity. We plan to do this by educating members to be allies and hosting campus-wide events that promote our values of inclusivity and diversity. Our logo of the butterfly represents immigrants and their migration by comparing it to the peaceful migration of the Monarch butterfly across man-made borders. United we strive to create a safe zone where there is no judgement, no discrimination, and no intolerance. United we create a diverse front enriched with cultures, languages and customs. We believe that no human being is illegal and we support every member of our organization and the undocumented community because we are a family.

Jewish life on campus is growing as more Jewish students from outside the Tampa Bay area attend the University. With Monday night Ice Cream Parlors, Trips to Israel (Birthright, Fact Finders, onward and then some) Shabbat Dinners, Tikkun HaYam, and Jewish Advocacy there are plenty of options for Jewish students to take part in Jewish life at the University of South Florida.
