Campus Visit Experience

Seeing is believing, and visiting is a great way to experience our beautiful Tampa campus, ask our students and counselors questions, and imagine yourself as a USF Bull. Whether you’re planning to visit with your family or as part of a large group, we’re committed to ensuring your time on campus is fulfilling and runs smoothly.

Individual and Family Visits

Every visit includes the following:

  • A Tour of Campus- Student-led by our Green & Gold Guides, the tour will give you an up-close view of our top-rated academic facilities, a spacious suite-style residence hall, delicious dining options, student support offices, high-tech recreation center, and other points of interest. In addition, you will hear from current USF students about what life is really like on our dynamic campus! 
  • An Information Session- Presented by an admissions professional, the session will provide an overview of the university, admissions requirements, financial aid, dining services, residential life, scholarships and campus life.

Campus visits are offered Monday-Friday at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. and last approximately 2.5 hours. Tours also are offered on most Saturdays at 10:00 a.m. during the academic year (September through April). Before scheduling a visit, please keep the following in mind:

  • Dates- Tour space is limited to provide our guests with a positive experience. Please have a few dates in mind before making your reservation in case your first choice is not available.
  • Academic Calendar - To get the best feel for USF, check our academic calendar and visit when there are students on campus attending classes. Campus visits are not offered during university holidays.
  • Disability Accommodations- please call 813-974-7878 (Florida Relay Service TTY: 800-955-8771) or email at least five working days in advance for mobility assistance, visual impairment assistance, or American Sign Language interpreting. 
  • International Students- contact to add a meeting with an International Admissions Advisor to the Campus Visit Experience.

Group Visits

Due to the large volume of requests we receive for group tours, our guided tours are limited to high school and transfer-level students. We offer guided group tours Monday through Friday at 9:00 a.m., 11:30 a.m. or 1:00 p.m. Dates and times are subject to availability. 

Is your group comprised of other types of students? No problem! Please join us for a self-guided tour. We will happily provide maps and brochures to help you explore our sunny campus.

If your group is comprised of high school or prospective transfer students, please follow the directions below to set up your visit:

  • Submit your request at least 45 days prior to the requested visit date. 
  • Provide the following information:
    • Contact Name
    • School or Organization Name
    • Contact Email & Phone
    • Contact Address
    • Requested Dates & Times
    • Grade Level of Students
    • Number in Party
  • After receiving your request, a representative from our office will be in touch with you. Submitting a request does not guarantee a scheduled visit.
  • Should you wish to eat on campus with your group, we recommend contacting Catering Services at to set up your lunch. Groups can eat at one of our all-you-care-to-eat dining halls, our Marshall Student Center Food Court, or another campus dining establishment. For information on hours and pricing, please visit Dining Services.
