About Us
Diversity and Inclusion

The USF School of Information is committed to the Principles of Community and to promoting a diverse and inclusive community that honors the differences of
people from all walks of life. It is our goal to provide a safe and productive learning
environment for all faculty, staff, students, and alumni. We respect and celebrate
the diversity of all individuals regardless of race, ethnicity, age, gender, sexuality,
disability, socioeconomic background, political beliefs, or religion. We aim to make
every effort to recruit and retain individuals from historically excluded groups that
are underrepresented in our discipline, university and in our community. We will make
every effort to integrate meaningful experiences, histories and perspectives into
our curricular and co-curricular learning environments and will advocate on their
behalf whenever possible.
The School of Information is therefore committed to developing and implementing strategic
actions as permitted by law and the regulations and policies of the University of
South Florida, for achieving these goals and assessing annually our progress.
