Professor Manh-Huong Phan has been named a Fellow of the American Physical Society (APS), an honor awarded to fewer than 0.5% of the Society’s more than 50,000 members worldwide. Among 17 nominees, Professor Phan was recognized for his pioneering contributions to 2D quantum magnetism, including the realization of tunable room-temperature ferromagnetism in van der Waals materials down to the monolayer limit, as well as for his excellence in mentorship and international scientific collaboration, as cited by the APS Topical Group on Magnetism and Its Applications.
