Thirty new faculty are poised to advance strategic priorities
An assistant professor in the Department of Psychology, Jack Silcox studies how the brain processes and remembers speech, especially in difficult listening conditions. His work draws on EEG, pupillometry and transcranial magnetic stimulation to trace how the brain compensates in real time as listening gets harder.
