City of Tampa’s Martin Luther King Parade

The City of Tampa’s Martin Luther King Parade is a fun, exciting and family-friendly event occurring annually on the national holiday commemorating the birth of one of our greatest American heroes, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade entries include floats, marching bands, equestrian groups, and decorated vehicles of all types providing an opportunity for businesses, churches, community groups and local government officials to celebrate Dr. King’s legacy and gain valuable exposure to the community they serve. 


Dr. Martin Luther King JR. Day Parade

St. Petersburg MLK Day Parade will take place Monday morning on Jan 16. Be sure to bring your friends and family out to celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Junior!


MLK Family Fun Day

The annual Family Fun Day is for all ages to enjoy. There will be live music, bounce houses, and vendors.

Le’Andra LeSeur (b. 1989, Bronx, NY) is a multidisciplinary artist whose work encompasses a range of media including video, installation, photography, painting, and performance. LeSeur’s body of work—a celebration of Blackness, queerness, and femininity—seeks to dismantle systems of power and achieve transcendence and liberation through perseverance.

Reception will include a live performance by the artist to begin at 6PM and Strange Figurations featuring artist McArthur Freeman, distinguished local artist and faculty member at USF Tampa.


Dr. Martin Luther King Commemorative Brunch: Untold Stories

Join the Office of Multicultural Affairs for the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Commemorative Brunch. This year’s event uncovers the untold stories of the Civil Rights Movement and honors Dr. King’s legacy of service, featuring a keynote speech from Dr. Tangela Serls, Director of Undergraduate Studies in the Department of Women’s and Gender Studies, and reflections from the brothers of the Theta Gamma chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc.
