Assistant Director
Lisa works toward a PhD in History with focus in Digital Humanities and she looks forward to combining her undergraduate and graduate education in History with her extensive IT experience to help expand the vital preservation of cultural heritage.
Sarah Hassam
Project Manager
Sarah is a first year PhD student in History with a concentration in World History before 1500. Her background includes the theatrical arts, with a BFA in Drama from Tisch School of the Arts at NYU and an MA in History from USF. Her interests include digital archaeology, art history and material culture, the history of women, and the history of other marginalized communities in the ancient Mediterranean.

Aiden is currently pursuing a M.A degree in Biological Anthropology from the University of South Florida. His academic focus is centered on the study of skeletal trauma and pathology. With a passion for osteology and technology, Aiden is dedicated to telling stories that would otherwise remain untold

Claudia Lamanna is an Architect and holds a PhD in Christian and Medieval Archaeology from the University of Bologna, where she defended a dissertation on public baths in Late Antique Greece. She also holds a Postgraduate Specialisation Diploma in Architectural and Landscape Heritage.
Madison Fidler
Graduate Assistant, MA student (History)
Madison holds BA in History with a minor in Classics and now she s is pursuing an MA from USF. Her academic interests include the Ancient Mediterranean and Digital Humanities, with a focus on history and archaeology.
Ryan Hom
Staff member, PhD student (History)
Ryan holds a MA in History from University of South Florida. His research interests include War and Society in the Ancient World, Classical Reception, and the Pedagogical/Public Facing Applications of the Digital Humanities.
Kevin Gallagher
Staff Member, PhD student (History)
Kevin holds a MA and BA in History from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. His research interests are focused on Roman power, concepts of traditional authority, and cultural hybridization in the provinces.
Brontë Phillips
Staff member, PhD student (History)
Brontë holds dual BA degrees in Art History and Humanities & Cultural Studies and obtained an MA in History from the University of South Florida. Her research interests include the illegal trafficking of antiquities, public history, museum studies, conservation and preservation of material culture, and digital archaeology.
Lisa Goswick
Intern, BA Student (Anthropology)
Lisa is currently pursuing a BA in Anthropology with a minor in History. Her academic interest is focused on the avenues of ancient trade, foodways, and healing practices, exploring the exchanges, influences, and the correlated material culture throughout history. Her goal is to share these interdependent stories through Applied Anthropology, digital accessibility, and community engagement.
Evan Dobryy
Intern, BA Student (Anthropology), Mellon Grantee
Evan is currently pursuing degrees in Anthropology and Geology with a minor in History. His academic interests center on Early Christianity, the Mongol Empire, and Roman-Judean interactions. With a longstanding passion for history and archaeology, Evan hopes to pursue a career as an archaeologist specializing in Early Christianity and the Roman world.

Ayla is currently pursuing a B.A. in History with a minor in Anthropology. Her academic interests include paleoarchaeology, Greek history, Early Christianity, and the use of digital humanities for the preservation and accessibility of cultural heritage. With a passion for museum work and digital archaeology, Ayla hopes to pursue graduate studies in museum studies and explore innovative approaches to conservation, research, and public accessibility.

Morgan is currently pursuing a B.A. in Anthropology and plans to continue her studies with an M.A. in Anthropology specializing in Archaeology. Her academic interests focus on artifact preservation, Greco-Roman civilizations, Pictish-Celtic Scotland, curation, and museum studies. With a passion for early human history and cultural heritage, Morgan hopes to build a career in conservation and collections management within museums, archives, and heritage institutions.

Lama is currently completing a B.S. in Biomedical Anthropology and a B.A. in GIS. Her academic interests include archaeology, forensic anthropology, and the archaeology of the Middle East and North Africa, with research focusing on patterns of skeletal morphology and the factors that influence them. With a passion for integrating biological anthropology and spatial technologies, Lama is dedicated to exploring new ways of understanding human remains and past populations.

Olivia is currently pursuing B.A. degrees in History and World Languages with a concentration in Classics. Her academic interests include Greek and Roman history, Postcolonial Studies, and public history. With a passion for preserving and interpreting historical materials, Olivia hopes to pursue a career in archival work.

His academic interests center on Mediterranean archaeology, particularly Bronze Age Asia Minor and Late Antique Italy and North Africa. With a passion for archaeological research, Joseph hopes to work in archaeological laboratories and contribute to organizing, interpreting, and making evidence from the past accessible to broader audiences

Addie is currently pursuing dual B.A. degrees in History and Anthropology with a minor in Deaf Studies at the University of South Florida. Her academic interests include public history, remembrance, World War II, and Holocaust studies. With a passion for preserving and interpreting the past, Addie hopes to pursue graduate studies in Public History and build a career in the museum field.

Savon Taylor
Intern, MA Student
Savon is currently pursuing an M.A. in Biological Anthropology at the University of South Florida and holds a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Kentucky. Her academic focus centers on secular change in skeletal remains and what these changes can reveal about health and society through time. With a passion for human osteology, Savon is particularly interested in the history, educational role, inclusivity, and representation of skeletal collections.
Sarajane Smith
Intern, PhD Student
Sarajane is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Applied Anthropology at the University of South Florida and is a Delores Auzenne Fellow and NSF Fellow. Her research focuses on human skeletal remains and the ways social structures, patterns of activity, and circumstances surrounding death are reflected in skeletal biology. With extensive experience studying archaeological human remains and assisting with forensic casework, Sarajane is dedicated to advancing our understanding of past human lives through biological anthropology.
