Summer Music Camps
Middle School Band Camp: June 9-13, 2025
The USF Summer Middle School Band Camp is designed to help young musicians develop their skills in a group setting. Students will receive instruction from USF’s outstanding faculty and students, as well as talented teachers from the Greater Tampa Bay Area. The camp fosters teamwork and creativity, while providing an opportunity for students to build confidence through music.
Open to all students with at least six months of study on their instrument; students will submit a brief video audition for ensemble placement only. All are welcome!
Cost for registration is $375 and includes lunch and a camp t-shirt. Camp runs 9am-5pm with dropoff from 8:30am-9am and pickup from 5pm-5:30pm.

USF Summer Jazz Camp: Honors Big Band: June 15-18, 2025
The Jazz Camp will include USF Jazz Faculty Tom Brantley (USF Jazz Ensemble I director and Trombone Studio Professor), James Suggs (Jazz Trumpet and Director) of USF Jazztet, Larue Nickleson (USF Combo Director and Jazz Guitar ), and Pablo Arencibia (Jazz Piano). Big Band, jazz combos, improvisation classes, and masterclasses.

High School Band and Orchestra Camp: June 23-27, 2025
The USF Summer High School Band and Orchestra Camp provides experiences and opportunities for strings, woodwind, brass, and percussion students to expand their individual and ensemble musicianship skills. Students will receive instruction from USF's outstanding faculty and students, as well as talented teachers from the Greater Tampa Bay Area.
Open to all students with at least one full year of study on their instrument; students will submit a brief video audition for ensemble placement only. All are welcome!
Cost for registration is $375 for commuters including lunch, dinner, camp t-shirt, and all evening activities. Cost for residents is $575 including all meals, camp t-shirt, evening activities and hotel stay.

USF Drumline and Front Ensemble Camp: July 7-11, 2025
The University of South Florida Summer Drumline Camp provides percussion students with experiences that will allow them to expand their musicianship at the individual and ensemble levels. The focus of our camp centers around techniques related to Snare Drum, Tenor Drums, Bass Drums, and Front Ensemble. Throughout the week, campers will refine basics in technique and musicality. In addition to fundamentals, campers will learn integrated exercises and full ensemble music that will be performed at Friday's exhibition.
Open to rising 9th-12th graders.

USF Commercial Music Summer Camp: Digital Music: July 14-18, 2025
Discover the power of creativity at the University of South Florida's Commercial Music
Summer Camp! This week-long experience invites aspiring musicians ages 12–18 to dive
into the exciting world of digital music making. Learn to produce tracks using cutting-edge
software, explore the rich sounds of global music traditions, and develop your unique
musical voice. Guided by USF faculty, participants will collaborate with peers, create
original works, and showcase their projects at a finale performance. Whether you're
a beginner or an experienced creator, this camp offers an inspiring journey into the
art of modern music-making.

Da' "Bull" Reed Camp: July 14-18, 2025
The USF Da’ “Bull” Reed Camp is designed for improving performance and Reed-making
skills. All students will have opportunities to play in ensembles and participate
in performance classes as well as Reed-making classes.
The USF Da’ “Bull” Reed camp is for all oboe, English horn, and bassoon players, ages
13 and older.
