Back-to-School Community Event

BI1

On July 10, 2026, the Bilingual Language and Literacy Lab joined the Children's Board of Hillsborough County for its annual Back-to-School event. Ph.D. student Anna Soares and undergraduate research assistants Aldo Dimiele (USF) and Ava De La Cruz (visiting student, Denison University) shared the lab's work supporting Spanish–English bilingual children and families. Families received free backpacks and school supplies and enjoyed games and activities celebrating the Hispanic community.
