Liz Burke earned a B.A in Psychology from the University of Notre Dame and an M.S. in Counseling from Indiana University. Before joining CARD-USF in August 2014, Liz worked as an ABA therapist, utilizing behavioral science principles to improve self-care, academic, communication, and social skills in children with ASD. Liz also has experience delivering individual and group counseling, classroom guidance lessons, and crisis management interventions.

At CARD-USF, Liz serves as a consultant on the School Age Team, supporting families and educators of children with ASD by providing direct and technical assistance in the home, school, and community settings. She also develops and presents professional trainings on ASD-related topics to various audiences of parents, teachers, administrators, and service personnel. Liz is a trained Sibshop facilitator, sits on the Hillsborough County Superintendent Advisory Council, and is project lead on the Autism Friendly Business Initiative.
