Dr. Kimberly Crosland is an Assistant Professor and Board Certified Behavior Analyst in the Applied Behavior Analysis Program in the Department of Child and Family Studies at the University of South Florida. She has a Ph.D. in Developmental and Child Psychology with an emphasis in behavior analysis from the University of Kansas.

Dr. Crosland was the research director for the Behavior Analysis Services Program (BASP) which was a statewide behavior analytic initiative to provide training and technical support for children, educators, and families in foster care. She currently has two federal grants, one funded by the Department of Education Institute of Education Sciences and another from the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, to develop an assessment and intervention model for decreasing runaway behavior of youth in foster care and improving educational outcomes. 

Prior to coming to USF, Dr. Crosland was a clinician at the Kennedy Krieger Institute at Johns Hopkins Hospital where she provided treatment evaluations for young children with autism and other developmental disabilities who were displaying challenging behaviors. 

Dr. Crosland’s professional interests are in the area of behavioral assessment, teacher and caregiver training, child welfare interventions, and developmental disabilities. She enjoys teaching behavior analysis and working with students to develop and implement community based theses and research projects.
