Sandra Dwinell is the Academic Services Administrator for the Child & Adolescent Behavioral Health (CABH) Master of Science Degree Program within the Department of Child & Family Studies (CFS) in the College of Behavioral and Community Sciences (CBCS) at the University of South Florida (USF).

Ms. Dwinell has been with CFS since 2004 and has worked in the CABH MS Degree Program since its inception, participating in the degree proposal process to the Board of Governors. She has served as the sole staff member supporting the program’s administrative operations since its inaugural cohort in 2016. In this role, she manages all aspects of program administration and serves as the primary resource for students, faculty, university leadership, and external stakeholders. She handles the full range of administrative functions required to support students throughout the academic lifecycle, from application and admissions through graduation, including coordination and processing of all administrative documentation, maintaining comprehensive student tracking systems, and completing the program’s graduation certification. Her efforts ensure the efficient delivery of student services and compliance with university policies and academic requirements.

In addition to her program administration responsibilities, Ms. Dwinell assists with the annual Tenure and Promotion process, supporting the CFS Department Chair, Faculty Services Administrator, and faculty by performing technical writing, editing, and compilation of bibliometric information, including Journal Metrics from Journal Citation Reports and article metrics through Web of Science.

During her time at USF, Ms. Dwinell has contributed to the department in a variety of leadership and support capacities, often maintaining multiple concurrent roles and responsibilities. Her previous roles in CFS have included serving as Assistant Director and Communications Director; Project Coordinator for the grant-funded National Evaluation, Phase VI System of Care-Based Logic Model Evaluation Project; and Conference Coordinator for the department's annual national conference, and Communications & Marketing Officer.

As a proud USF alumna (2004), Ms. Dwinell’s commitment to USF has been demonstrated in service across the university, collaboration, and institutional excellence. Most recently, she was selected for the USF University Conduct Board (UCB). She has served on the CFS Department Governance Council intermittently since its creation and participated in the AAC, as well as other activities related to engagement. Ms. Dwinell received the department’s Outstanding Achievement Award in 2022 and 2015, and the USF USPS Senate Quiet Quality Award in 2005. Through more than two decades of dedicated service to the University of South Florida, Ms. Dwinell has established herself as an administrative professional who is committed to the success of USF and all its constituents.

A native of the Tampa Bay area, when not working, she can usually be found with a book (or two), a knitting project (or two), shuttling family and friends to various appointments, and feeding & petting everyone’s pets.
