Dr. Greenbaum recieved his MS degree from Boston University, his PhD from the University of Kansas, and his post-doctorate training in behavioral health from the University of Florida. 

Dr. Greenbaum made significant contributions and garnered international recognition for his work in children’s mental health and substance abuse research. Recognized for his pioneering work in advanced statistical methods, he has served as the primary statistician for the Department of Child and Family Studies and USF’s Alcohol and Substance Use Research Institute. He has published studies in the areas of latent growth curves, growth mixture modeling, hierarchical confirmatory factor analysis, and structural equation modeling. Dr. Greenbaum is a member of the Prevention Science Methodology Group (PSMG), a group of internationally recognized experts on methodology led by directed by Dr. Hendricks Brown, Professor of Epidemiology and Public Health at the University of Miami and Dr. Bengt Muthén, Professor Emeritus at the University of California Los Angeles.  
 
Dr. Greenbaum’s federal funding has included research sponsored by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, the National Institute on Disabilities and Rehabilitation Research, the National Institute on Drug Abuse, and the Institute of Education Sciences. He has served as a Consulting Editor for Psychological Assessment since 2001 and is an editorial board member of the Journal of Emotional and Behavioral Disorders.
