Ellen M. Weber, M.Ed.
Human Services Practitioner
Ellen has a Master's degree in Special Education and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. She is currently pursuing a Doctoral degree with the Special Education Department at USF. She has spent the last 12 years working with individuals with development disabilities and most of her work with those impacted by Autism Spectrum Disorders. Before joining the Center for Autism & Related Disabilities at USF (CARD-USF) in January 2007, Ellen was a coordinator of program services at Presley Ridge School for Autism in Pittsburg, PA. Her experiences have been providing respite and therapeutic support in homes, care and counseling in residential settings, instruction and behavioral intervention as an educator in the school and coordinating educational services at the supervisory level.
As a CARD-USF Consultant, Ellen provides training, technical assistance, and direct assistance for families, school personnel and various community agencies. Her project development interest is building capacity in our community for more inclusive social, recreation and leisure opportunities for individual on the Autism Spectrum.
