Ellie has a Master’s degree in Special Education from Duquesne University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh. She has spent the last 25 plus years working with individuals with developmental disabilities and most of her work is with those on the autism spectrum.
Before joining CARD-USF in January 2007, Ellie’s experiences have been providing respite and therapeutic support in homes, care and counseling in residential settings, instruction and behavioral intervention as an educator and coordinating educational services at the supervisory level.
As the CARD Assistant Director of Education Services, she teams with school district representatives, supervises CARD consultants, and develops/provides training, consultation, support and guidance for autistic individuals, families, school personnel and various community agencies.
