USF students are finalists in Embedded Security Challenge at CyberSecurity Awareness Week Conference (CSAW) 2015

A team of USF undergraduate students John Gangemi and Sebastian Otero advised by Swaroop Ghosh qualified for the final round of the Embedded Security Challenge in CyberSecurity Awareness Week Conference (CSAW) in 2015. The CyberSecurity Awareness Week Conference is the largest student-run cyber security event in the nation that includes a weekend of competitions, industry talks and events to prepare best-performing students with the skills and knowledge to shape the future of the industry. The Embedded Security Challenge (ESC) is an educational, research-oriented tournament aimed at hacking into hardware and learning to exploit the weaknesses of the target system while assessing the trustworthiness of their hardware security techniques.
