USF K-8 Summer Math Camps

usf summer math camp

Our fun, engaging math courses will keep your student’s skills sharp over the summer and ahead of the curve when school starts again in the fall. Veteran instructors who have spent years in the classroom focus on skills aligned with the math standards for your student’s grade level. Each session is available to review 24 hours a day in an easy-to-use online learning portal.

WHY CHOOSE THE USF SUMMER MATH CAMP?

Whether it’s called the summer setback or summer slide, the learning loss students experience over the summer can have a significant impact on their performance in the upcoming school year. The USF Summer Math Camp will minimize learning loss by helping your child review key skills from the previous grade and get ahead for the next year. Best of all, it’s easy to join – no special applications are required.

WHAT STUDENTS WILL LEARN

Topics are listed within the description of each summer math program to assist parents and students as they decide which program is best for them. For example, Grade 3 is designed for students who recently completed third grade and want to minimize summer losses, or for those who are preparing for third grade and want an introduction to the math skills they’ll learn in the coming year.

WHO SHOULD ENROLL

Our summer math camps are open to any student in grades K-8 seeking an engaging environment in which to explore fun, relevant math topics.

BENEFITS OF THE COURSE

  • Prevents two or more months of learning loss over the summer through review and practice of skills learned in the previous grade.
  • Prepares students for the math concepts to be covered in the grade they’re entering.
  • Allows students to ask and answer questions in real time through a live online format.
  • Recorded versions of each class session can be used to preview topics, replace sessions which the student is unable to attend, or review content from a different perspective.
