Registration and Fees

When does 2024 Summer Camp Registration open?

February 1st, 2024

How do I register my child for summer camp?

Online Registration: You can register online for all of our summer camps and locations! To register online, use the Register Now button next to the camp of your choice throughout the website.

Do you offer financial assistance?

Unfortunately, at this stage, we haven't secured scholarship funds to support registrations for the upcoming summer. However, should there be any developments, we'll promptly share information about the process with everyone.

Are spaces in summer camps at USF limited? Do you have a waiting list?

In order to best serve our campers, we have a set number of spaces available for summer camp. If the specific week of camp you are registering for is full, we will add you to the waiting list. You will be notified if a space becomes available.

What is your refund/cancelation policy?

USF reserves the right to cancel camps, in which case registration fees are fully refunded. If it becomes necessary for USF to cancel, postpone or combine camps, or change a camp location, you will be notified by email or phone. It is important that we have your current contact information. If a camp is cancelled, you will receive a full refund. If a registration is received after the enrollment limit has been reached, a full refund will be issued.

If you need to cancel a camp registration, please email USF Youth Experiences. If the cancellation occurs 10 days prior to camp start date a full refund will be received with the exception of administration fees. However, if the cancellation is received within 10 business days of the camp start date, no refund will be given. No refunds will be issued after the start date of the camp.

Attendance, Arrival, and transportation

What time does my child need to be dropped off/picked up?

Our camps typically operate from 9 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday. It's essential to recognize that each camp is unique. After registration, you will receive email reminders containing comprehensive information about your specific summer camp, including all the essential details.

Who can pick up my child?

For the safety of our campers, only those individuals that are listed on the Authorized for Pick Up form may pick up your child. They must have a valid photo ID, and be at least 18 years old.

Meals

Will lunch or snacks be provided?

Following your registration for the specific summer camp, you will receive reminder emails outlining all the necessary details for your particular camp. While many of our camps traditionally offer pizza as lunch on the last day, it's crucial to be aware that this may not be applicable to all camps. During the registration process, please ensure to specify any dietary restrictions your child may have when prompted.

Can my child pack a lunch?

Yes, however, lunches are not refrigerated or reheated. Please pack accordingly. You must provide an ice pack if the lunch needs to stay cold.

What if my child has food allergies or other dietary restrictions?

During the registration process, you will be asked of any food allergies or other dietary restrictions. You may also email YouthXP@usf.edu for any additional concerns.

Staff

Who are the staff and what are their qualifications?

Our Summer Staff is an energetic and fun team of individuals, dedicated to creating a great camp experience for your camper. All of our staff receive training, are background checked, and vetted by the camp administration. Many of our instructors for camps are current or former certified teachers. We also utilize expertise from local area partners for certain camps.

What to Bring

What should my child bring to camp?

Given that each camp is distinctive, you can expect personalized email reminders providing specific details on what your child should bring. These reminders will offer concrete guidance tailored to the unique requirements of each camp.

What skills/experience are needed to attend camp?

Generally speaking, all of our camps are suitable for all. For more specific information about a camp, return to a list of all summer camps and select the "More Information" link for the camp you are interested in.
