Build Your Journey

College is a brief moment in time that can pass and be over before students know it! Our Success Coaches encourage every student to make the most out of their college experience and be intentional with their time. Students can meet one-on-one with a Success Coach to create a personalized plan for success in college and beyond. We incorporate key areas of life such as academics, career development, relationships, well-being, values, and sense of purpose.

While you work with a Success Coach, expect curiosity, action, reflection, and connection. Drawing on design thinking principles by Bill Burnett and Dave Evans (authors of the book Designing Your Life: How to Build a Well-Lived, Joyful Life), we encourage students to:

  • Be curious about themselves, their experiences, and future possibilities.
  • Have a bias toward action by taking small, intentional steps that create momentum.
  • Reframe challenges as opportunities for learning and growth.
  • Recognize that life is a prototype, where experimentation and adaptation are essential parts of success.
  • Practice radical collaboration by seeking support, building relationships, and leveraging community resources.
  • Focus on the process, understanding that growth and resilience develop through continuous learning.

Let's build your college journey together! Schedule your appointment with an OARS Success Coach and create a personalized college experience just for you!
