As part of the ZAP experience, two internships will be required to earn the bachelor's degree in business advertising. If a student decides to complete the mass communications master's degree portion of the program, they will be required to complete the third internship.
USF aims to see every student graduate with real-world experience under their belts, a network in hand, and an impressive portfolio of advertising work. According to the 2015 National Association of Colleges and Employers survey, students who complete internships are most likely to land a job and a higher salary. We are confident that our ZAP graduates will become leaders in the advertising industry.
Maverickz was created as the internship program for ZAP students to enrich their academic and living-learning experiences with hands-on work experience in the advertising industry. Starting in their second year of the program, Zimmerman Advertising Program students will have the opportunity to be mentored and intern with some of the top advertising agencies in the Tampa Bay area.
