USF Criminology Graduate Students Recognized at ACJS Annual Meeting

ACJS Student Scholarship Award:

Elisa Toman received the 2016 Student Scholarship Award for a paper, “Extending Research on the Victim-Offender Overlap: Linking Prison Misconduct and Victimization,” presented at the 2016 Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences (ACJS) meeting. This award supports meritorious scholarship and enables students to present their research at the Annual Meeting through a $600 travel stipend.

 

 ACJS Doctoral Student Summit:

Julie Krupa and Jennifer Leili participated in the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences (ACJS) Doctoral Student Summit. They attended different workshops on teaching online, tips for publishing, managing the classroom, surviving the dissertation and preparing for the job market. They were also able to meet with faculty from around the country, including current and past ACJS board members. In addition, they had the opportunity to network with other graduate students from around the country.
