Bachelor of Arts in Criminology

Offered through USF Tampa, USF Sarasota-Manatee, and USF St. Petersburg

USF TAMPA

USF Tampa offers the flexibility to complete criminology courses entirely online, entirely in-person, or a blending of both.

USF’s undergraduate degree in Criminology provides students with an in-depth exposure to all facets of the criminal justice system and prepares students for a wide array of career options.

USF SARASOTA-MANATEE

The Criminology program at the USF Sarasota-Manatee campus offers small classes, both in person and online, taught by both academic and criminal justice practitioners, and provides students opportunities to work with faculty on research projects and participate in internships with local criminal justice agencies.

One unique course offering on the Sarasota-Manatee Campus is CCJ 3336, Prisoner Re-entry and Recidivism, which is a designated service-learning course. Service-learning, or “learning through experience,” allows students to engage with the local community to solve a real-world issue.

USF TAMPA Online 2 + 2 Program (B.A. CRIMINOLOGY)

The online program is not a separate degree program.  The degree requirements are exactly the same as the B.A. Criminology requirements. You would still be earning the same B.A. Criminology degree, and students choosing either option will register for the same classes and fulfill the same graduation requirements. The online 2+2 program is geared for students who live out of town and are unable to ever come to campus, not even for orientation. In order to guarantee that the degree can be completed within 60 credits or two years of full-time enrollment at USF, the selection criteria is higher.  If you can come to campus for orientation but would like to take all of your classes online, you can apply to USF through the regular admissions process for the B.A. Criminology degree.

Students who can never come to campus, not even for orientation, can find more information about the USF Tampa online 2 + 2 program by contacting:
