Carpooling

To reduce traffic congestion, demand for parking, and improve air quality on campus, USF offers eligible students, faculty, and staff the option to establish a group to carpool to campus. Participants will receive a reserved parking space among other benefits.

Carpool to campus by using the free RideFlag app and park in the best spaces on campus, reserved for you! Students who have purchased a parking permit and who drive to campus from locations that the Bull Runner does not serve are eligible.

USF has partnered with Zimride by Enterprise to offer a fun, money-saving way to go wherever life takes you. Zimride is a unique way to rideshare, using social networks to help you find USF folks with similar interests, music tastes and more. After all, if you’re sharing the same destination, you might as well share the same ride too.

  Commute with Enterprise
 Commute

Commute with Enterprise partners with the Tampa Bay Area Regional Transit Authority (TBARTA) to provide vanpooling services to USF faculty and staff. The TBARTA vanpooling program is supported by a monthly subsidy of $400 per vehicle to offset costs and helps faculty and staff overcome transportation challenges while improving the commute experience to and from campus.

Enterprise CarShare will be temporarily unavailable until further notice. In the meantime, Enterprise Rent-A-Car remains available to serve individuals who may need transportation to perform essential services. Enterprise CarShare members may use their member discount to rent a vehicle through Enterprise Rent-A-Car.

Student Government has teamed up with Uber to create a discounted ride program for USF students. Ride discounts can change throughout the year. Students can see the current ride promotions or sign up for the ride discounts by visiting the Student Government website.

Coast bikes, powered by HOPR, are designed for trips in and around campus. Keep the car parked, use Coast as a last mile connector when using transit, or hop on for all of your trips! Download the free HOPR Transit app, scan the handlebar’s QR code, and go!

  Bike and Skateboard Repair
 USF

The Outdoor Resource Center (ORC) bike shop provides free and low-cost repair and maintenance service for personal bicycles. If your bicycle is in need of replacement parts, the ORC sells some of the parts that are usually required at low prices. Students can also bring parts in from the store and have the ORC staff install them.

Mass Transit

The USF Bull Runner transit system offers students and employees fare-free transportation, seven days a week, throughout campus and to designated off-campus locations including the University Mall, University Area Transit Center (UATC), and surrounding apartment complexes. A valid USF ID is required.

USF students ride free on all HART Local, Limited Express (LX), and HARTFlex routes with a valid USF ID. Employees receive a discounted rate.  Ten routes are accessible from the University Area Transit Center located near campus, on Bull Runner Route D. Plan your trip and track your ride with Google Maps and OneBusAway.

 RedCoach

RedCoach is the only luxury transportation company in Florida, offering daily departures to most major cities in the state directly from campus. RedCoach only offers 27 seats in first class and 38 seats on business class. Riders can recline their seats and catch up on sleep or connect to the free Wi-Fi for productivity or endless entertainment. Students get access to 10% discount year-round.

Emergency Ride Home

Register for this free program if you walk, bike, take the Bull Runner, HART, or carpool to campus at least twice a week. Participants will receive four free taxi rides home per year in case of an emergency.
