To reduce traffic congestion, demand for parking, and improve air quality on campus, USF offers eligible students, faculty, and staff the option to establish a group to carpool to campus. Participants will receive a reserved parking space among other benefits.

Zipcar is a self-service hourly car share program. Designed for local, short-term usage for personal and business reasons, Zipcar rentals include insurance and gas, starting at a discounted rate of only $9.00 an hour. Cars are available for when you need to run errands, have lunch with friends or anything else you may need to do. You don't need to drive to work, when you have a car conveniently available for you here on campus!

There are two vehicles on the Tampa campus. One (1) located in Lot 20 (Near the USF Credit Union Building) and one (1) in Lot 5A (Lot closest to the Marshall Center). Register to join Zipcar and have access to the vehicles!

Uber

Student Government has teamed up with Uber to create a discounted ride program for USF students. Ride discounts can change throughout the year. Students can see the current ride promotions or sign up for the ride discounts by visiting the Student Government website.

Bikes need love, too. Our student bike pros are located (outside) at the back of the Campus Recreation Center (REC).  They can help with everything from flat tires to major repairs.  

Follow these steps to get those wheels spinning after a pandemic hiberation:

1. Bring your bike to the back of the REC (near the Pit)
2. Scan a QR code and give us your details
3. Wait right there for quick fixes (e.g. air in tires)
4. Leave your bike with us for more complex repairs
5. Check your email for updates
6. Pick up your rejuvenated wheels

If the weather is rough, our team will not be stationed outside. You can still bring your bike. You'll see signage on the ramp with our phone number (813-974-5557). A member of our team will come out to meet you and pick up your bike.

Bull Runner, the bus system at USF, offers fare-free rides to students, faculty, and staff holding a valid USFCard. Visitors can also ride by being accompanied by USFCard holder or by obtaining a USF Bus Pass from Parking and Transportation Services. Operating seven days a week, Bull Runner serves both on-campus and selected off-campus locations, such as the University Area Transit Center (UATC) and sponsored apartment complexes.

USF students ride free on all HART Local, Limited Express (LX), and HARTFlex routes with a valid USF ID. Employees receive a discounted rate.  Ten routes are accessible from the University Area Transit Center located near campus, on the Bull Runner Red route. Plan your trip and track your ride with Google Maps and OneBusAway.

RedCoach is the only luxury transportation company in Florida, offering daily departures to most major cities in the state directly from campus. RedCoach only offers 27 seats in first class and 38 seats on business class. Riders can recline their seats and catch up on sleep or connect to the free Wi-Fi for productivity or endless entertainment. Students get access to 10% discount year-round.

Register for this free program if you walk, bike, take the Bull Runner, HART, or carpool to campus at least twice a week. Participants will receive four free taxi rides home per year in case of an emergency.
