USF Tampa Homecoming Parade

Parking & Traffic Alert | October 15–16, 2026

The 2026 USF Tampa Homecoming Parade will take place on Friday, October 16, resulting in significant parking restrictions, road closures, and changes to Bull Runner service.

Students, faculty, staff, and visitors are encouraged to plan ahead, allow additional travel time, and pay particular attention to the following parking restrictions.

 Parking Lot and Garage Closures

 Thursday, October 15 – Beginning at 8:00 p.m.

 Lots 3A, 3B, and 3C (Theatre/MSC Area) will close at 8:00 p.m. Thursday and remain closed throughout Friday to accommodate parade float staging and preparations.

 All vehicles must be removed from these lots before 8:00 p.m. Thursday. Vehicles remaining after that time will be cited and towed at the owner's expense.

 Friday, October 16 – Beginning at 5:00 p.m.

The following parking facilities will close to all incoming and outgoing vehicle traffic beginning at 5:00 p.m.:

• Crescent Hill Garage
• Lots 4, 5A, 5B, 5D, and 5E

 Important: Motorists parked in these facilities should plan to exit before 5:00 p.m. Vehicles remaining after that time may be inaccessible until parade activities conclude and traffic restrictions are lifted.

 Campus Road Closures

Beginning at 5:00 p.m. Friday, October 16, the following roads will close to accommodate the parade:

• Holly Drive
• Palm Drive
• Genshaft Drive
• Alumni Drive
• Leroy Collins Boulevard

Roads will reopen as parade activities conclude and University Police determine that normal traffic operations can safely resume. Reopening times may vary.

Expect traffic congestion and delays throughout the surrounding campus area.

 Bull Runner Service Changes

On Friday, October 16, all Bull Runner routes will end service at 4:30 p.m., earlier than the normal 6:00 p.m. schedule.

Riders should plan accordingly and make alternative transportation arrangements if traveling later in the afternoon or evening.

 Recommended Alternative Parking

To avoid parking and traffic disruptions, motorists are encouraged to consider the following locations:

• Lots 9A, 42, and 43
• Laurel Garage
• Beard Garage

 Normal parking permit requirements remain in effect. Please park only in areas authorized by your permit.

These locations are served by Bull Runner; however, riders should account for the early termination of service on Friday.

 Plan Ahead

If you will be on campus Thursday evening or Friday, please:

• Remove vehicles from Lots 3A, 3B, and 3C before 8:00 p.m. Thursday.
• Exit Crescent Hill Garage and affected parking lots before 5:00 p.m. Friday.
• Allow additional time to reach your destination.
• Consider alternative parking locations outside the parade area.
• Plan around the early termination of Bull Runner service.
