Freshmen Admissions Scholarships

Florida Residents 2023-2024

To be considered for merit-based scholarships from the Office of Admissions, students must submit a complete admissions application by January 15, 2023 with all supporting documents:

  • If you completed all four years of high school at a U.S. institution, you will need to fill out our Student Self-Reported Academic Record.
  • If you completed any year of high school at an institution outside of the U.S., you will need to submit high school transcripts (unofficial international and official domestic).  DO NOT submit a Self-Reported Academic Record.
  • Test Scores - ACT or SAT

Florida ResidentS 

The USF Presidential, USF Directors and USF Scholars Gold awards are not stackable. Students will receive the highest award for which they qualify within the awarding timeline.

1280+ SAT (Evidence-Based Reading/Writing and Math) or

The following awards are stackable with the USF Presidential, USF Directors and USF Scholars Gold Awards.

USF Tradition of Excellence Awards (students receive only the highest award for which they qualify) National Merit Scholars

Full cost of attendance. Please see

National Merit Semi-finalists are awarded $20,000 ($5,000 per year) until they are officially classified as National Merit Finalist and select USF as their first-choice school.

Receive designation as a National Merit Finalist by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation and name USF as your first-choice school.

College Board Recognition $16,000 ($4,000 per year) and a study abroad scholarship

Receive designation by the College Board National Recognition Programs as a student who identifies as African American or Black, Hispanic American or Latinx, or Indigenous.

This award must be stacked with an additional Office of Admissions USF Scholars Gold, USF Directors, and USF Presidential Awards.
