The Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing is a graduate-level major that emphasizes the craft of writing and concentrates on the student’s original work in the genres of fiction, poetry, nonfiction, and comics.
The Literature programs seek to produce teacher-scholars who have a sound general knowledge of British and American literature and a specialized knowledge of their fields of concentration.
M.A. and Ph.D. in Writing & Rhetoric
The Writing & Rhetoric programs seek to equip teacher-scholars with both a robust familiarity with critical, literary, and rhetorical theory and with the pedagogical experiences requisite for quality instruction. Students will specialize their studies toward a particular field of concentration.
The 4 offered graduate certificates provide graduate-level specialization in comparative literary studies, creative writing, professional and technical communication, or digital humanities to both current graduate students and non-degree seeking students.
