We are delighted to announce that Professor Dr. Stuart Parkin, Director of Max Planck Institute of Microstructure Physics (Halle, Germany) and a globally recognized leader in the field of spintronics has accepted our invitation to be a member of the advisory board of FIELD-QM


2023 EVENTS

Dec. 3rd to 26th, 2023

Prof. Hari Srikanth will be on extended travel in December and a plenary speaker at two conferences - The International Conference on Magnetic Materials and Applications (IC-MAGMA 2023) to be held in Hyderabad, India and the Materials Research Society of India (MRSI) Annual Meeting in IIT BHU in Varanasi, India.

At the invitation of Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST), Prof. Srikanth will be an expert reviewer of the Center for Magnetic and Spintronic Materials at NIMS, Tsukuba, JAPAN where he will also give a seminar on research done in the Functional Materials Laboratory which is part of FIELD-QM.

October 1st to November 3rd, 2023

Prof. Manh-Huong Phan will deliver an Invited Talk on 2D Magnetism for the 68th Annual Conference on Magnetism and Magnetic Materials (MMM), Dallas, USA. He also serves as an Editor for the conference proceedings.

August 10th to 13th, 2023

Prof. Manh-Huong Phan co-organized the 4th International Workshop on Advanced Materials and Devices (IWAMD 2023), Thai Nguyen city, Vietnam. 

August 18th, 2023

Gina Pantano won 1st place in the 2023 Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) competition held by USF Department of Physics.

August 5th, 2023

Dr. Yen Pham has recently graduated and continues on to a joint Position at NIST Gaithersburg and George Mason University in the DC area.

March 31st, 2023

Gina Pantano recently received the Fulbright Fellowship award to theoretically study spin space groups and altermagnets at the University of Johannes Gutenberg in Mainz, Germany from September 2023 to June 2024.

February 28th, 2023

Nivarthana Waruni Yapa Yapa Mudiyanselage has received a 3-months DAAD Rise summer fellowship on the project "Spectroscopic surface and interface characterization" in the company "Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin für Materialien und Energie GmbH, Berlin, Germany".
