EDUCATION

Ph.D. Astronomy, 2015, University of Maryland, College Park, MD

TEACHING

  • Improving Representation within Physics and Astronomy
  • Physics and Astronomy Education

In my teaching and other activities, I aim to increase the representation of historically underrepresented groups in physics and astronomy. We can and should do better!

RESEARCH

  • Galaxy Evolution
  • Interstellar Medium

I have studied the dust and molecular material blown out of nearby galaxies either by star formation or by the disruptive activity of a supermassive black hole. Together with collaborators, I have used space-based and ground-based infrared observations to study these 'galactic winds'.
