Bio:
Megan Corn is a doctoral student in Politics and International Affairs at the University of South Florida’s School of Interdisciplinary Global Studies. A lifelong Bull, she earned her B.A. in International Studies with a minor in Spanish in 2022, followed by a Master of Public Administration in 2025.
Her research has explored political behavior, political psychology, and political communications, with a focus on political stress and polarization in the 2024 election. She has also examined disaster policy in the wake of the 2023 Maui wildfires and recent Atlantic hurricane seasons in West Central Florida, concentrating on emergency management networks and mitigation and preparation strategies. Megan has presented her work at national conferences, including the Association for Public Policy Analysis and Management.
Through her doctoral studies, she aims to advance scholarship at the intersection of political science and emergency management, contributing to stronger, more responsive public systems.
