DESIGN YOUR MA IN WOMEN'S AND GENDER STUDIES
The M.A. in Women’s and Gender Studies has three track options. To learn more about these options, visit the USF Graduate Catalog (scroll down to the Thesis, Internship, or Portfolio Option section).
In WGS, we want you to design your own MA by choosing what you want to get out of our program:
- Thesis: Students who intend to pursue a doctoral degree, further graduate or professional study, or who are interested in an intensive independent research project may want to work on an MA thesis.
- Internship: Students who are interested in applied fieldwork, creating work experience, exploring not-for-profit domains or contributing to our community may want to work on an MA graduate internship and complete an internship narrative.
- Portfolio: Students for whom the WGS MA will be a terminal degree, or who are interested in expanding their coursework, may choose to complete a WGS portfolio.
Regardless of your choice of final product, our faculty are here to support you on your WGS journey!
For more information about program requirements for the three tracks, please review the WGS Graduate Student Handbook.
