Biography
Lindsey Carman Williams, PhD, is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Instruction in the Department of Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at University of South Florida. She earned an MA degree in Literary, Textual, and Cultural Studies from University of Central Florida in 2018 and a PhD degree in English from Washington State University in 2022. Her research focuses on women’s Gothic fiction (specifically, ghost stories and supernatural tales), feminist science and technology studies, and feminist disability theory. Carman Williams’ work has been published in Women’s Writing, Nineteenth-Century Gender Studies, and the Irish Journal for Gothic and Horror (forthcoming).
