All brass faculty are actively performing in the Tampa Bay region. They also have a presence nationally and internationally in chamber settings, opera orchestras, jazz ensembles, and as orchestral musicians and soloists. The brass faculty adjudicate for international and national competitions and for All State and State Solo and Ensemble for their respective instruments.

Brass students at USF can expect to perform with undergraduate and graduate majors from across the country and with international students in large ensembles, chamber groups, and in recitals. Each student will be given weekly private lessons with their major professors as well as in weekly studio classes. They will also be able to enjoy watching their professors performing in professional settings such as The Florida Orchestra, Opera Tampa, the Grammy nominated Jazz Surge, and national touring Broadway productions. USF brass students also perform at The National Trumpet Competition, International Jazz Festivals throughout Europe, and various Brass Conferences.
