For Receiving Facilities
Did you know that one-third of Baker Act Receiving Facilities are no longer mailing paper forms to the Baker Act Reporting Center? They are scanning the forms into pdf documents and securely transferring them to us. We call this "electronic submission," which saves staff time (yours and ours), and printing/mailing costs. Forms take fewer days for the Baker Act Reporting Center to receive.
Please contact the Baker Act Reporting Center at firstname.lastname@example.org or (813) 974-1010 for instructions about how to submit scanned Baker Act forms electronically. Our staff can assist you to determine which of several options work best for your facility. This method requires minimal set up for provider staff. To better assist with this transition, each facility will receive individualized instructions to determine which option works best for their organization. We also hold weekly technical assistance call/zoom sessions to assist with the initial set up and problem-solving over time. Our Baker Act Reporting Center staff will share the details about the resources we offer.
