November 8, 2017
The American Public Health Association's (APHA) 145th Annual Meeting and Expo was held in Atlanta, GA on November 4-8, 2017. APHA is a multidisciplinary conference attracting more than 13,000 national and international researchers, practitioners, and students to share the latest in research, practice, and policy to promote health and prevent disease.
Cohort 4 Scholars Enya Vroom, MS and Nicole Crawford, MPH, MSW were selected to present their Institute research project Evaluation of Teens in Action: A Social and Emotional Learning Program with a Service-Learning Component in a Community Setting to the Student Assembly portion of the Annual Meeting and Expo. This roundtable presentation allowed Enya and Nicole to discuss the details of their evaluation with conference attendees in an informal manner, which afforded them the opportunity to receive feedback from peers and experienced professionals.
