Professional Development Teacher Training with VEX IQ Robotics
Date: July 15-18, 2019
Time: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Location: University of South Florida College of Education (EDU Building), TECO Hall
Join us for a hands-on professional development experience and explore how to integrate
robotics education into your K-12
classrooms while learning from experienced robotics instructors and classroom teachers.
- Choose between two different programs: Beginning IQ and Intermediate/Advanced IQ. Advanced users are also welcome to attend.
- Learn the basics of Robot C Programming, Robot building and programming a VEX IQ robot — and learn how to integrate these topics into your curriculum and lesson plans.
NOTE: The Intermediate/Advanced course will concentrate heavily on coding and the use of sensors.
- Basic computer skills and a Robot C compatible laptop are required.
- VEX Kits are available to borrow for use during the week. Participants have the option of purchasing a kit or bringing their own kit to use during the week to complete course activities.
