Professional Development Teacher Training with VEX IQ Robotics

Location: University of South Florida College of Education (EDU Building), TECO Hall
Cost: $150.00

Join us for a hands-on professional development experience and explore how to integrate robotics education into your K-12
classrooms while learning from experienced robotics instructors and classroom teachers.

PROGRAM FEATURES:

  • Choose between two different programs: Beginning IQ and Intermediate/Advanced IQ. Advanced users are also welcome to attend.
  • Learn the basics of Robot C Programming, Robot building and programming a VEX IQ robot — and learn how to integrate these topics into your curriculum and lesson plans.

NOTE: The Intermediate/Advanced course will concentrate heavily on coding and the use of sensors.

PREREQUISITE/COMPUTER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Basic computer skills and a Robot C compatible laptop are required.
  • VEX Kits are available to borrow for use during the week. Participants have the option of purchasing a kit or bringing their own kit to use during the week to complete course activities.
