Meet the Interim Dean

Jenifer Jasinski Schneider researches children’s composing processes and arts-based literacy education, exploring how process drama, children’s literature, and digital tools shape students’ meaning-making and communication strategies.

Her work includes community-engaged projects, designed field experiments, and studies of Irish children’s literature, family literacy initiatives and digital literacy programs during her Fulbright at the Waterford Institute of Technology.

Schneider directed the Suncoast Young Authors Celebration for 20 years and authored the open-access textbook The Inside, Outside, and Upside Downs of Children’s Literature (USF Scholar Commons). She currently serves on the Board of the Hillsborough Literacy Council.
