Marcus Kilpatrick
Kilpatrick earned his bachelor’s degree from Florida State University in 1994, and his master’s and doctoral degrees from the University of Texas at Austin in 1996 and 1999. He joined the faculty at USF in 2004 after spending five years at Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, Louisiana.
Kilpatrick’s teaching efforts are linked to the undergraduate and graduate Exercise Science programs. His teaching experiences and responsibilities are varied but primarily focus on sport and exercise psychology, exercise testing and prescription and research methods.
Collaborations with colleagues in USF Health include projects within special populations including cancer survivors and patients with neurological disorders. A recent area of emphasis investigates the impact of faith-based interventions on exercise and dietary behavior.
