Randi Latzke, Ph.D.

Randi Latzke's, Ph.D., work centers on helping pre-service teachers to make strong connections between their coursework and their field experiences.

Latzke is a faculty member in the Department of Curriculum, Instruction and Learning at the University of South Florida. She earned her doctoral degree from the University of Florida in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Curriculum, Teaching and Teacher Education.

Her research interests focus on pre-service teachers’ enactment of culturally-responsive classroom practices, equity-based processes for supporting underrepresented student groups in undergraduate elementary education programs and utilizing school district and university partnerships to strengthen the ability of first-year teachers to successfully create and manage equitable classroom environments for vulnerable students.
