ARL IGNITE Program

This summer, ARL will host IGNITE programs at seven premier locations across Maryland, Texas, and California. Through experiences like building robots, exploring cybersecurity, and delving into environmental science, IGNITE offers immersive opportunities to collaborate, experiment, and grow.
In 2025, the Institute of Applied Engineering (IAE) and the Army Research Lab (ARL) established an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract, following the award of an Education Research Agreement (ERA) in 2024. These partnerships strengthen the local school-to-workforce pipeline by increasing awareness of and access to ARL student opportunities. We encourage you to apply to the programs listed below and invite interested candidates to submit a resume and statement of interest to IAE for enhanced consideration. The U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) Army Research Laboratory Education and Outreach Program is designed to support the lab’s efforts to build the highly talented and innovative workforce necessary to meet the Army’s future needs. DEVCOM ARL leverages several Army/DOW programs to provide opportunities for students of various grades and academic levels, graduates and faculty members.
