Meet the Staff
Tura Magley, Assistant Director of parent and family programs
Tura serves as the Assistant Director in the Office of Parent and Family Programs. She has worked in higher education for over 5 years to support the needs of students and their family members as they transition into, through, and beyond their time in college. She most recently served as the Assistant Director of Student Transitions and Family Engagement at St. Edward’s University specializing in orientation, student and family transition support, and communication efforts. Previously, Tura served as a team member in USF’s New Student Connections office from 2015 to 2018. Tura earned a Master of Arts in Higher Education and Student Affairs from The Ohio State University and Bachelors degrees in Sociology and Psychology from Florida State University. Outside of USF, you can find Tura at a boxing class, trying a new recipe, listening to live music, or enjoying Tampa’s beautiful sunshine with family and friends!
Keri Riegler, Director of New Student Connections & Parent and Family Programs
Keri Riegler is the Director of New Student Connections and Parent and Family Programs at the University of South Florida. In this role, she provides strategic visioning and leadership for two units that contribute to USF’s student success efforts with a focus on new student transition, family engagement, and early warning interventions. Prior to this appointment, she served as the Assistant Dean of Students at the University of South Florida and has held other professional positions in a number of areas, including orientation, student activities, leadership programs, and mentoring programs. Keri’s professional involvement include serving on the Center for Women Board of Directors for NASPA: Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education and consulting on numerous external department review teams. She is the recipient of the USF Outstanding Staff Award, the USF Student Success Provost Team Award, and the USF Outstanding Student Affairs Collaborator Award. Keri holds a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of South Florida and earned her bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from the University of Tampa.
