How to Join

Overview

There are a number of pathways that you can take to join the Suncoast Battalion. Army ROTC is an elective, so there is no requirement or obligation to serve unless you decide to sign a contract.  In their last two years with the Program, all of our Cadets do sign a contract with the ultimate goal of serving as a Commissioned Officer in the United States Army after graduating and commissioning. Additionally, Cadets also sign a contract when accepting an Army ROTC Scholarship. This contract, once again, obligates the Cadet to serve as a Commissioned Officer after graduating and commissioning.
